2. Jesse and his brothers came to the Watauga country in 1780 as patriot soldiers in the King's Mountain campaign.
3. Between 1780 and 1794 they built a log house in Boone's Creek which was restored by the Watauga Valley Settlements Historic Preservation Fund. [on Crouch Road. Boone's Creek is just north of Johnson City, TN. Owned by descendant John Crouch.]
4. Feb. 6, 1794 Jesse Crouch bought 200 acres on the Rocky Branch of Leatherwood Creek in Henry Co., Va. from father-in-law, Reuben Nance for 50 pounds.
