Jessie Mary Roax McIntyre

I have been told by a Scottish genealogist that there was no Dr. David Forrest who had a daughter named Jessie nor Janet. He mentioned that their was a David Forrest b. 1808 from Edinburgh who was a superintendent of Dispensary but he had no daughter named Janet nor Jessie. Jessie is a pet name for Janet in Scotland.

According to a family story passed down through generations her mother was a French woman who had the surname Roax.

David Forrest M.D. baptised at Glenbervie on the 27 Aug 1800 and died in Kirkcaldy on the 3 Mar 1834. Married Margaret Seton Peddie widow of Robert Oliphant.
