OBITUARY

MRS HARRY RHODES MEMBER OF OLD CAMBRIDGE FAMILY

The death has occurred after a long period of failing health, of Mrs Jessie Rhodes, wjfe of Mr Harry Rhodes, of Paterangi; aged 70 years. The.late Mrs Rhodes was the eldest daughter of the Hon. John Fisher, a pioneer settler'of the Pukerimu district. She was married to Mr Rhodes 42 years ago, and took up residence Paterangi. She was keenly interested in the affairs of the Presbyterian Church, and was secretary of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union for 25 years, and was" interested in the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union. Mrs Rhodes is survived by her husband and one son, Mr S. Rhodes, and one daughter, Miss M. Rhodes, of Paterangi. Messrs R. D., J. W., W. A., and A. M. Fisher are brothers and Mrs T. Robinson and Mrs G. M. Watt are sisters.
