Services for Jimmy Fanning were held Sunday, June 12, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Beam officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Fanning, 52, died Friday, June 10, 2005, in Philadelphia.
He was a native and longtime resident of Philadelphia and graduated from Philadelphia High School in 1972. Later he attended East Central Junior College on a football scholarship. He worked as a carpenter/painter. Mr. Fanning was a member of First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Fanning in 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Robyn Fanning of Philadelphia; two sons, Bass Fanning and Buck Fanning, both of Philadelphia; mother and stepfather, Kathleen and Billy Brantley of Philadelphia; and one brother, Johnny Fanning of Madison.
Pallbearers were Tom Turner, Joe Jordan, Tony Hardy, Eugene McCrory, Jeff Kennedy, Pat Fanning and Bill Nance
