“Jo Lynn Johnson Jo Lynn Getz Johnson, 59 a member of the 1962 class at Colfax High School who resided in San Jose, Calif., most of her adult life, died April 1 from leukemia and treatment side effects. A funeral service was conducted April 6 in San Jose at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Her mother, Eileen Getz., sister, Mary Beth Harvey, and brother, Ed Getz, all reside here. Born May 5, 1944, to Jacob and Eileen Getz, she was raised on the family's farm in the Penawawa/Onecho area and attended eastern Washington State College after graduating at Colfax. She married Walt Johnson in January of 1964 and they moved to the San Jose area. After their children were out of school, she worked in accounting for several companies. In recent years she helped others through her church and local AA groups. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Also surviving are her husband, Walt, at the home in San Jose; a son, Jake Johnson, San Diego; a daughter, Dianna Santana, Somerset, Calif; and three grandchildren.
