Name is not actually listed in historical documents aside from a possible listing for an unnamed daughter of a local Woodstock. See source added to page.

note: Dorothea was the sister of Joan, who married Anthony Andrew, son of Thomas Andrew (d 1541) & Agnes Newport. Their father was Richard Andrew, of Yarnton, Oxon, etc … and Woodstock.

... I Ursula Androwes of Woodstock ... widow sick in body ..

  • I give to Thomas Andrewes, son of my daughter Joane, the bedstead, bed etc in the chamber next to the great chamber, 20 sheep, £10 to be paid at age 19 and an ale pot of gilt stone.
  • I give his sister Ursula Andrewes the greatest bedstock in the chapel chamber with its bed etc amd the cupboard in the ambry in that room.
  • I give to Robert, another son of my daughter Joane, £10 to be paid at age 15.
  • Whereas William Mathue owes me £11 for the debts of my daughter Joane, it is to be paid to my executor for the benefit of Valantyne Androwes, Hercules Androwes, Anthony Androwes and Nicolas Androwes, sons of Joane. My executor is to pay it to them at age 18.
  • I give to Richard Androwes, the boy in my house, £10 to be paid to my son-in-law Hercules Raynfford Esq within three years after my decease for Richard's benefit until age 16, and I wish Hercules to have his care and bringing up.
  • I also give Richard two brass pots, two broches, one pair of andirons, one pair of sheets, one dozen napkins, two tablecloths (one fine and the other coarse), two towels (ditto) and one cow.
  • To Ursula Androwes, daughter of my daughter Joane, my new French hood, my damask kirtle and a worsted cassock.
  • I give my daughter Joane my little silver parcel-gilt salt with the cover, and two silver spoons with angels.
  • I give my smaller brewing lead at Davingtree to my son John Androwes, and the great lead and cistern to Thomas Androwes, son of my daughter Joane, with all the vats and covers there.
