His will was dated on 14 October 1712 proved 9 Nov 1712. "Job Drake, Jr., son of Lt. Job Drake, dec'd." To my honoured mother Elizabeth Drake, the use and improvement of the new dwelling house and lands belonging to it which was my grandfather's, Job Drake's, and set out to me in division of my father Drake's estate. After her decease, my brother Jacob's son Jacob to have it. Also to my nephew Jacob, son of my brother Jacob, 4 acres I bought of my father Drake which was my grandfather Clarke's. To brother Jacob half of the lot which was set out to me in the division of my Father Drake's estate in the Great Meadow...provided he pay to my sister Mary's daughter Mary 15 in money at the age of 18 years. If she died then to be paid to my sister Mary's daughter Katherine, and also £5 to my sister Sarah's daughter Elizabeth; in case she dies before the age of 18, to be paid to my sister Mary's son, Alexander, 24 years of age. I give to my negro servant, Dick, 40 shillings. Appoints mother Elizabeth Drake and brother Jacob Drake as executors.4
