Joel C. Prestridge

Biography

Joel C Prestridge was born in 1815 in Pike, Fayette County, Georgia, USA, Georgia, United States. His parents were John Prestridge, III and Sarah Alsy Prestige (McCraw). He was a Blacksmith and was Co-owner of Prestridge & McCraw Warehouse.

Joel married Joanna Prestridge (Gay) on January 30, 1831, in Fayette, Georgia, USA. Together they had the following children:

Joel married Mary Pollie Prestridge (Warren) on September 4, 1850, in Lawrence, Alabama, USA, Fayette County, Georgia, United States.

He died circa September 1, 1860, in Russellville, Franklin, Alabama, USA. When he died his children were orphans and provisions made for them. In the Will, they were assigned guardians until they were adult age. No records have been located other than for the son, John Allen Prestridge. They were not with their step-mother Census Records were found for her.
