Also known as Jan. He was still living in 1903 when he signed his wife's death notice in Wepener.

The below are details of a death notice which was supposed to be in the Transvaal acrchives, but missing from file. Could belong to this J.G. Adendorff or his son born in abt 1879.

Possibly married a second time on 17th October, 1906 in Zastron to a 53 year old widow Dorothea Maria Elizabeth Beukes; widow of Bezuidenhout. As his apparent age is 60 in 1906 that would mean a birth year of 1846 whereas this Johan Georg was born in 1837.

On his marriage in Smithfield, OFS to Maria on 16th November, 1868 he gives his age as 23 and from 'Sadawa'. This therefore corresponds with the above 2nd marriage.
