According to Douglas H. HINKLE's research Jacob Harper was born between 1730/1740. He was Christened March 20, 1752 in Tulpehocken, Berks County, Pennsylvania, USA. Steven J. Zuraff's research indicates that Jacob was born March 20, 1752. This is the date that he was christened, I believe. This research confirms death date. Steven J Zuraff's research calls him Jacob the Pioneer.
OneWorldTree states his name is Jacob Conrad Harper. Gary Lewis's research states he died Nov 2, 1828.
According to A History of Pendleton County, West Virginia by Oren F. Morton originally published in 1910, current printing in 1995, page 54, a Jacob Harper lived on Trout Run with a Patterson living nearby between 1761 and 1767. A Leonard Simmons and a Matthew Harper are listed as living further up the river.

That there was no particular advance by 1773 will appear by the sale in that year of Michael Mallow's property. 22 cattle sold at an average of $5 per head, 11 horses went for $271.67, a silver watch for 13.33, a pair of boots for $1.50, and a pair of speatacles for 25 cents. According to "A History of Pendleton County, West Virginia by Oren F. Morton originally published in 1910 page 400 lists a Jacob Harper on the Pendleton Militia Muster Rolls on Sept. 6, 1794. He was in Captain William Gragg's Company.
