Johan "Org" Muller (1935 – 2008)

Brief overview:

Org (72), a widowed farmer, was shot in the stomach after being attacked by four armed males on his farm Bahudi, in Malelane, Mpumalanga on 20th February 2008.

The family were having a braai (barbeque), and around 21h00, when the four perpetrators started shooting at them. Org told his family to hide inside the house while he fought off the attackers. Henko Celliers, one of the guests, was wounded in the arm during the shoot-out. The attackers fled, and about 45 minutes later the police found two suspects along the N4, they were both wounded.

Org was transferred to the ICU at the Nelspruit Medi-Clinic, where he passed away from his injuries a few days later on 29th February.

"My family is so badly traumatised after the attack that we spent Sunday night in a hotel in Nelspruit," said George Muller (40), Org's son.
