On 6 September 1780, he purchased a boy, named Helston, no. 342, from the Danish Frigate Ningo for 240 rd.
On 17 October 1781, he purchased a woman from the Danish Frigate Christiansborg, which arrived in Christiansted on 12 October 1781, for 260 rd. The frigate came from the non-Danish coast of West Africa. [She does not appear in the 1781 tax list, so she may have died.]
