Brief overview:
Johan (50) a farmer, and a businessman were attacked and shot dead at Johan's smallholding in Pump Avenue, Meyerton around 22h00 on Sunday 24th April 2011.
Johan was found at 12:00 by warrant officer Johan Schourie (39), and his fiancée. Strydom had wounds to his arms. He was presumably shot twice. "One bullet went through Johan's left arm and hit him in the left side of his chest. He was also shot on the top of his head," said Schourie. Johan's wife, Lizelle (40), and their two sons, Hencoe (7), and Zander (6), had been visiting her parents in East London for the Easter Weekend.
