About Johan Kes van der Bank
Johan Kes van der Bank (1965 - 2003)
Brief overview:
Johan (38), was shot and wounded on the doorstep of his house when he arrived home from the dairy. He died a few hours later in hospital.
His farm was invaded by six attackers who tied up his wife, Debbie (33) and parents-in-law, Andries and Eleanor Visser, demanding money and firearms.
Captain Nthabiseng Mazimbuko, police spokesperson, said the attackers surprised his wife and her parents in the house, and tied them up with ropes and wires. They were assaulted, and forced Debbie to unlock the safe. They ransacked the house, took a large amount of cash and firearms, then escaped in the victims vehicle, which was later found abandoned near Evaton.
While the Vaalrand police are still searching for these six suspects, the suspects in another farm murder in North West have been apprehended.
