From the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, Sept 1996 article about the Altmans in Colonial America, this is what is said about Jacob and Anna Maria. Jacob Altman b. 1700 d. 1772 or later married on 22 Feb 1724 at Herbitzheim to Anna Maria Eisenmann, daughter of Christian and Anna Catharina Breitenstein Eisenmann.Anna Maria Eisenmann was b. 17 Feb 1701 at Herbitzheim, died 20 Mar 1775 and lies buried in Saint Paul's Union Church Cemetery, Lehigh Township, Northampton County, Pa.Her stone is written in German, the article has it translated into English. I would be interested in knowning who the other children are besides the 9 born in Germany/France.The same article list 9 children born in Germany/France with one who was possibly born at sea or right after arriving in America. 1. Johann Wilhelm, was born 9 months after their marriage on 14 Nov 1724.Have copy of list of signers the "oath of allegiance" Wilhelm and his father signed, required by all males over 16 who were entering into America. 2. Anna Margaretha b. 6 Jun 1727, married to Georg Ecker and also came on the Phoenix. 3. Catharina Elisabeth b. 23 Jun 1729 d. 1 Apr 1730 4. Sophia Elisabeth b. 20 Mar 1731, no further info on her 5. Johann Peter b. 27 Jun 1735 (part of the Black Peter/Hans Peter discussion, which is which) alos came with the familyon the Phoenix, was under 16, didn't sign oath. 6. Maria Catherina b. 14 Aug 1738 possibly married to Jacob Stroh. She is also listed as Anna Catharina in Pa records. 7. Johann Casper b. 15 Apr 1741 d. 28 Dec 1818 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pa, married to Susanna Beck, also on the Phoenix. 8. Johann Jacob b. 25 Apr 1744, died young 9. Catharina Margaretha b. 17 Apr 1747, she is shown as a baptismal sponsor in Pa in 1762, would have also been on the Phoenix. 10. Christinano date of birth or baptism record has yet been found for her, but Christina Altman (single) is associated (as a baptismal sponsor) with other children of Jacob in Pa. Her birth likely occurred during or immediately after the family's emmigration.
