About Johann Gottlob Ferdinand Arendsee

"Johann Gottlob Ferdinand Arendsee was born on 9 December 1811 in Duhringshoff, Brandenberg, Germany to Christian Arendsee and Rosine Loffler. Johanna Charlotte Gustine Schulze was born 15 August 1820 in Duhringshoff, Brandenberg, Germany to Johann Friedrich Schulze and Maria Louise Schwann. Ferdinand and Gustine were married (unknown date and place-probably Duhringshoff, Brandenberg) in Germany and had 11 children..., all born in Duhringshoff, Brandenberg, Germany. Ferdinand and Gustine came to America with four of their children in 1872 and settled on a farm near Westfield, Marquette County, Wisconsin. The ship's passenger list shows Ferdinand's occupation as joiner and on another document in German his occupation has been translated to cabinet maker and handler. Ferdinand died 9 February 1899. Gustine died 4 February 1887. Both are buried in the Arendsee family plot in the East Cemetery in Westfield, Wisconsin."
