Note: "Ken Zumwalt in 1990 wrote: George ‎(2)‎ Zumwalt was the second of five children in Andrew ‎(1)‎ first American family. He was born 10 Oct 1741 at Little York, PA and served in Capt. McCoys Virginia Militia Company in the Revolutionary War. In 1764, when he was 22, his father died at the family farm near Fredericksburg in the Virginia Colony. Although unmarried George was given custody of his 10 year old half brother Adam ‎(2)‎. When Adam was 18, he also joined the Militia. George ‎(2)‎ was listed as a taxpayer in Augusta Co., VA in 1782. His will was dated 4 Sep 1815 and he presumably died after that in Harrison County, KY. George ‎(2)‎ married Mary Kale, native of North Carolina. She was born in 1790 and died in 1803. They had nine children."
