About Johannas Windolph

Not known if his marriage was in 1863 or 1864.

Moved from Germany to Hall County in November 1872. They had four children at this time. He bought a farm south of the city, and later moved to a farm east of the city.

It is assumed he was close friends with the first Windolphs, John Lucas (b. 27-July-1836, Buchwilde, Germany. Apprentice cabinet-maker in Sandusky, Ohio, Logansport, Indiana and St. Louis before moving to Hall County 20-May-1861.) and Adam (b. 1833, Uder, Germany. Arrived in Hall County 1-April-1822 after traveling from New York, Illinois, Iown and Washington township in NE.) to settle Hall County. Adam is reported to be an "uncle" of Peter Windolph, Johannas, although this has not been verified and some wonder if "uncle" wasn't spoken out of affection as much as by blood.

Nine months after purchasing the second farm he died of brain fever.
