The Virginia Albins, 929.273; Al 14 ae. Will of John Albin dated 4 Apr. 1820, Clark Co. OH

Enlisted in 1758 under Col. Byrd and Gen. John Forbes in the Campaign against the French at Ft. Duquesne which was burned, then rebuilt, and renamed Ft. Pitt, now Pittsburgh. He served in the Continental Line as a Sgt. in the in the Infantry, and received a Cert. 23 Aug. 1783. He did not apply for a pension.
