John Marsh Baldwin, son of Horace Baldwin and Sarah Marsh, was b. in Litchfield, Conn., July 2,1813; m. Feb. 3,1833, with CAROLINE MANNING, b. Feb. 9,1808, dau. Thaddeus Manning, of Middletown, Conn. He was a printer; lived at New Haven; thence to Litchfield, where he publisshed a paper; in 1837, he moved to Matchez, Miss. She d. Aug. 1,1854. He was living in 1858.

Children were: Jane Elizabeth (1834),Marietta (1835), Adelaide (1843), and Eloise (1854).
