About John Bard
Tradition/Misc.: Richard and his family (wife Catharine and young son John; along with cousin Thomas Potter, Hannah McBride (a young girl) Frederick Ferrick (a bound boy Samuel Hunter, Daniel McManimy, and William White) were captured by a band of 19 Delaware indians April 1758. The mill was burned (later rebuilt) and the house pillaged. First Thomas Potter then young John, and then Samuel Hunter was killed by the indians.
Never Married. No Issue.
Death: Died Young (6 Months) - 13 Apr 1758 Indians captured family and killed John.
