About John Bell

John Bell is the "victim" in the historic Bell Witch legend. He and his family (especially his daughter Betsy) are supposed to have been harassed by a "spirit" nicknamed the Bell Witch for many years before he was finally killed (or killed himself) by ingesting an unidentified poisonous substance.
