John Valentine was a Shoemaker. He also served as a Private in Capt. Jocob Bender's Co. 24th Battalion of Phil. Co. He also served in Capt. Henry Boyer's Co. He survived the war, and by 1790 had moved to Heidelberg Township, Berks County (Phildelphia area), PA. He is recorded in the census there for that year--no additional records have been found of him after that.
