About John Healy Brownson

The St. Paul Times announces the death of John H. Brownson, Esq., a son of O. A. Brownson, of the Review. He was a somnambulist, and in his sleep had leaped from the window of his office, some 80 or 90 feet front the spot at which he first struck the ground. About six weeks before he received a severe cut on the head by falling downstairs while going to his front door to admit some one that he supposed to be there. He feared that the attacks would result fatally, and hail several times remarked that he was afraid to sleep alone in his office since his brother had left for St. Louis. He was a fine scholar, spoke several languages fluently and accurately, and had traveled much.
