The Copp Family of New Hampshire by Frank M. Ferrin, Boston, Mass.
John Copp, per LDS records, was born Feb. 6,1732, in Amesbury,Mass. to Josiah Copp and Mary --. Ferrin's book shows that John Copp made his will June 13,1812: To Sarah Copp, his wife, he gave use and improvement of his estate so long as "she shall remain my widow." To his son Simeon $5.00. To his son Moses all his real estate at his mother's decease (gives bounds of homestead.) "item -- I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Sargent one bed and bedstead and 1/2 of all bedding clothes, one low case of drawers, one square leaf pine table, one looking-glass, 1 pair of tongs, one wooden wheel, 1 foot-wheel, silver tea spoons, 1 great armed chair, and 1/2 of all other chairs, to be delivered at the decease of her mother by my executor."
