About John Dethick, Jr.
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dethick-71
The Visitation of Norfolk states that John married firstly Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Chamberlain sometime before 10 December 1522 (based on the will of Sir Thomas Lovell, but this has not yet been verified), and secondly Anne who outlived him. The pedigree lists three sons - Edmund, Edward and Thomas, and three daughters - Grace, Ursula and Elizabeth. All but Thomas have spouses recorded.
John's eldest son married Elizabeth Spelman who was reportedly born in 1505 (aged thirteen when her mother died in 1518). This would put John's birth before 1490.
John made his will at Fyncham, Norfolk on 31 August 1556.[1] There he names his deceased wife Elizabeth, his present wife Anne, his daughters Ursula Bastarde and Elizabeth Bastarde (perhaps a transcription error as she was married to Reinolles although he does later mention his daughter Raynoldes), his grand daughter Elizabeth Spilman (who would be daughter of Grace), his sons Edmund, Edward and Thomas. He names Elizabeth as his youngest daughter and another son John; these were probably children of his second marriage. A full transcription is pending Hampson-204 00:35, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Probate was granted on 27 January 1558.
