About John L Findley
He received an associate's degree from Fairmont State College, a bachelor's from Alderson-Broaddus College and a master's from West Virginia University.
He taught at the one-room school at Buck Run for four years. He also taught at Rosemont, Webster, and Flemington High School, where he retired in 1971 after 38 years.
He was a member of Flemington United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school; Flemington Senior Citizens; Taylor County Retired School Personnel; and Brooks Bird Club. He was charter president of the 1946 Flemington Lions Club and is a charter member and past Board of Directors member of the present Flemington Lions Club. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Taylor County Fair.
