About John Gallop, I

This is all that is known about John Gallop, the father of the John Gallop who emigrated to America. This is from Gallup Genealogy, page ix (1990), Vol 1. His birth and death dates are not known.

John Gallop married Mary Crabbe.

Their son, John Gallop of Mosterne, age 33 in 1623, emigrated to America 1630 on the ship Mary & John and became the ancestor of the Gallop Family in America.

Source is: Gallop Genealogy Vol 1, page xiv (2009 edition).

This ancestor would become the forefather of all the early Americans bearing his name and/or dna. Because of his father Thomas Gollop, my half sister Tami is also my very distant cousin. Now isn't that unbelievable !
