About John Granger
John Granger lived at Suffield until the troubles regarding his mother and narrated under the head of his father. George forced the entire family to remove into the adjoining town of Simsbury. Here John took up a farm in the parish of Turkey Hills, in what is now East Granby, and the town records say, "Old John Granger died ye 6 Sept., 1788." An old Simsbury record says, "Christopher Jacob Lawton of Suffield seels to John Granger land at Turkey Hills in Simsbury March 1, 1734." This was probably his homestead.
