Aurora (Ill) Beacon-News, Sunday, Mar 26, 193_, Now and Then Column: Article on Charles A. Rasey [John's son]. Rasey family came from New York, when Charles was 4 years old and lived as farmers in Action tws, DeKalb Co. [date calculates to 1864].

From son, John's Obit: family moved DeKalb Co, Ill to Holton tws, Muskegan Co, Mich in 1875, and his father taught school. In 1893, they moved to Brunswick, where his father operated a store and was postmaster.

The body of John G. Rasey, Sr., age 93 was brought to this city from Chicago, where he died Monday evening. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Holton Baptist Church. He was the father of John G. and Ernest Rasey of this city.
