I, John Hogan of the County of Garrard, State of Kentucky, do make and bequeath my last will and testament that to say first of all my just debts are paid and secondly I give and bequeath unto my dear loving wife all my Estate both real and personal during her life or widowhood and at her death or intermarriage to be equally divided among my children. Lastly, I constitute and appoint Jacob Back, Daniel Brown and my wife, Elizabeth Executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this eighteenth day of December, One thousand seven hundred and ninety-seven.

Grant Pinnix firstname.lastname@example.org thanks jason. yeah, i was right -- zachariah hogan was definitely a son of john & elizabeth PINNIX hogan... again, those old published genealogies leave a lot to be desired. my overton pinnix was at yorktown when cornwallis surrendered and he was a local justice of the peace in surry co. nc. one old published report of his grandson col. george lewis exaggerated that info to the point of claiming that overton pinnix was a close associate of george washington and that he was a judge on the supreme court of nc!!! here's the proof of your john & elizabeth PINNIX descent... grant... Aug. 29, 1801 between a Zachariah Smith and Elizabeth Hogan, widow of John Hogan and his heirs, Lewis, Edmond, Zachariah, Sarah, John William, Elizabeth and Elihue. The Hogan's apparently purchased 50 acres of land from Smith for 20 pounds.
