Mary Ganould was also an Irish immigrant. John apparently converted to Mary's Catholic faith before their marriage. For many years, they farmed in Bellevue. After the death of their son, William, John and Mary moved to Battle Creek. Their daughters, Mary and Margaret, married the O'Toole brothers, Lawrence and Patrick.
