JOHN H HAY, 81 DIES AT HOME HERE
John Huston Hay,lifetime resident of Coshocton died at 9:50 last night at the home of a niece, Ms. Grace Bostwick, 1015 Orchard St. after a five month illness. He was 81. For a number of years Mr. Hay and his brothers, Warner and the late George Hay, jointly operated the old Huston Hay Axle Works here, which was founded by their father. The plant was located on South Fifth st.,just north of the present Keagy Lear Machine shop. the firm abandoned about 35 years ago. Mr.Hay was born in Coshocton Dec. 17,1858 a son of Huston and Delia C Roberts Hay. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church. Surviving is a brother, Warner Hay of Zanesville. One brother and one sister are deceased. The body may be viewed at Glass Funeral Home, 710 Main St. where funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Dr. D.P Mueller will officiate and burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
