Occupation: farmer Conscripted in White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier County, West Virginia on 1 May 1862. Private Company B, 22nd Virginia Infantry Regiment (1st Kanawha Regiment). Deserted but then later rejoined unit by 1863. Taken Prisoner of War at Winchester, Virginia on 19 Sep 1864. Moved to Point Lookout Prison Camp on 24 Sep 1864.
