The John Huhn Sr. Family

.....The Photos on this page take us on a trip back in history to Southeastern Pennslyvania were so many of my families lived before some family members"pulled up stakes" and moved on to places like West Virginia and Ohio. From West Virginia and Ohio, many mnoved on to places like Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas before heading on to the Pacific Coast.

.....Although many moved on from Pennslyvania, other family members stayed, raised families, and continued to build their lives there. I am happy to have the photos of Huhn cousins on this page, becuase they bring to life the rich family past and provide more than just names on a page. A formal thanks in owed to Linda Tantlinger here for these photos and for the other treasures she as sent. Thank you Linda

.....The Huhn's are from the same area in Fayette County, Pennslyvania that the Dunhams are from. John and his wife are buried at Jacobs Luthern Cemetery at Masontown. John, along with another of my 4th great grandfathers, Joseph Yeager, were some of the founders of Jacobs Luthern (Reformed) Church and Joseph was a trustee. Both Dunhams and Huhns are buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery at Smithfield.

Grandmother Hannah Huhn's parents were: John Huhn Sr. born 1730-1810 and Doraday 1741-12/27/1806
