Biography
John was born in 1647 in Saco, Maine as his brothers were. His parents Roger Hunewell and Bridget emigrated by or before 1645, when their first child Richard was born.
Roger died in 1654 at sea off the coast of Maine. His mother Bridget survived and married second Richard Moore.
John first married Lydia Edwards on 1 Jan 1679 in Wethersfield, Connecticut,[1] he then purchased land In Wethersfield, with a saw mill. In March 1680 He was granted more land to make and burn bricks. In 1682 he was Surveyor of Roads.[2] John and Lydia had a daughter Mary on December 10, 1682. Lydia died eight months later on August 10, 1683 of an undisclosed cause. [1] [2] [3]
John removed to Middleton and he married second Elizabeth Harris on 10 August 1683, the daughter of Daniel Harris of Middletown.[2]
John and Elizabeth had the following children in Middeltown:[2]

In 1692, then a brick maker, he purchased his father’s land at Winter Harbor from his brother, Richard on December 10, 1692. Eight days later he sold the land to a John Stainford of Ipswich, MA.[3]
John died before August 5, 1706, when he was referred to as deceased in a guardianship proceeding on behalf of his daughter Bridget. His second wife Elizabeth died before December 4, 1710, when administration on her estate was granted to John Honeywell, the only son, who received a double portion, and his sisters each a single portion.[2] [3]
