John Mower Jackson

"John [son of Betsey, daughter of John, son of John, son of Jonathan, son of Samuel II, son of Samuel I, son of Richard Mower] was a prosperous Lewiston farmer. Enlisted in the 23d Reg. Co. A, Me. Vols. and again as Sergeant in Co. I, 32d Reg. . A Republican; Baptist; a Mason; member of the G. A. R. Prominent in the Grange and State Treas. for several years. Dea. in the Bap. church of Greene for many years, m. 14 Feb. 1866, Harriet L. Hodgkins of Lewiston... He d. 2 July 1913, aged 72."
