John Jonathan Jones

John Jonathan Jones, son of Benjamin and Mary Mark Jones, was born August 3, 1884 in Marion county. On Oct. 14, 1908 he was united in marriage to Tressa Shilling at Knoxville and spent their entire life in Marion, Mahaska and Monroe counties as farmers.

He was preceded in death by this parents; four sisters; two brothers and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Tressa; and twelve children, Mrs. Louise (Lorraine) Tille of Lovilia; Lester Jones, Leona and Lena Jones, Leonard Jones, Mrs. Laverne (Louise) Rankin, Mrs. Harold (Lucretia) Spaur and Mrs. Richard (Lily) Sterling, Knoxville; LaVerne of Spokane, Washington, Levi Jones and Mrs. Hubert (Luella) Parker of Bussey and Mrs. Harold (Louretta) Redding of Oskaloosa; 42 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
