He married Mary Gardiner, daughter of Nathaniel Gardiner and Mary Greene, on 23 March, 1726, in Exeter. The marriage was performed by Justice Christopher Allen. Father of John, Remington, Mary, Dorcus, Hannah, Nathaniel and Elizabeth. He was made a freeman in 1733. His estate was administered by his wife in Richmond. According to land records, John had a farm located about 5 miles north of Wyoming (RI) on the road to Escoheag. The farm had a burying ground. The Job Kenyon Lot is 4.8 miles from Wyoming, on Skunk Hill Road, south of Escoheag.
