John Jacob Klapperich 11 August 1864 – 18 October 1943 • LHDC-C9F was the son of Johannes Servatius Klapperich Adeline Murr. In 1885 he was a named parter and heir of the successful company John S Klapperich & Son, Carriagemakers. The company name was previously Walker & Klapperich. He married in 1887 Mary Jane "Jennie" McWhirter 1865–1912 • L4R1-2CN. They had two children: Louis Henry Klapperich 1888–1947 • LHDC-CZ3​ and Milton S Klapperich 1891–1891 • L5BF-BH2, who died in infancy. A bitterly contested divorce included lawsuits from both partners and a jail term for contempt of court for refusing to pay alimony. San Francisco Call, Volume 97, Number 159, 6 May 1905 He married again, on 7 Jul 1909, to Anna Mary Madsen Donlon 1869–1961 • LV9W-KJP when he was 47 and she was 37. They divorced before 1935. Anna's daughter Alyce took the Klapperich name. He died 18 Oct 1943 and was buried in Colma, San Mateo, California.
