About John Jordan Linderman
The following was written by his grandson Henry Richard Linderman Jr. in an unpublished manuscript on his family history:
"John Jordan Linderman, M.D. removed from his father's home in Orange Co., after completing his medical studies, and came to Pike county, Pa., where he purchased a large tract of land on the banks of the Delaware River. Here he built a house of substantial proportions and here he married Rachel Brodhead. He practiced his profession in the beautiful valley of the Delaware. He was admitted to the Essex County (N.J.) Medical Association in 1814 - for nearly fifty years, and was a well-known and highly respected physician. He had seven children - Henry Richard, Garrett Brodhead, Albert Brodhead, Hannah, Bathsheba, and Emily." (name of seventh child is obscured - likely Sarah Marie)
