About John Thomas MacNeil
John Thomas MacNeil 57, North Sydney John Thomas MacNeil, age 57, of Mapleview Drive, North Sydney, and formerly of Sydney Mines, passed away peacefully Dec. 18, 2006, at home, after a lengthy illness. Born at Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late William Henry and Kathleen (MacDonald) MacNeil. He was a member of Carman United Church and for many years was employed with Malcolm S. MacDonald Sand and Gravel. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, the light of his life for 25 years, Linda (Bonnar) MacNeil; brothers, John, Henry, Vincent and Stan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by uncles, John Pat MacDonald, John T. MacNeil and his aunt, Theresa MacLennan. Visitation will be in the Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Carman United Church, Rev. Karen Ralph officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery
