The primary source for my statement that John Millard is the father of Collins Millard is to be found in the 1st Proclamation to admit Collins Millard as a customary tenant on the surrender of John Millard the Elder, made on 28 October, 1756. .
.....The admission reads In part....And all other the Copyhold Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements Hereditaments of the said John Millard situate standing lying or being within the said Manor And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof to the use and behoof of Collins Millard of Leighton Bussard aforesaid Victualler (Son of the said John Millard the Elder) and of his heirs assigns forever absolutely but because no person or persons cause to be admitted and do ? and so forth Therefore the first Proclamation was made and so forth.
