John Norris

The will of Thomas Norris of Winter's Run" was dated Dec. 1757 and probated in the Orphan's Court of Baltimore Co., Md. March 1761. To son John, "one-half the land called 'Macedon,' on that part where the great hollow rock lyeth." To son Aquila, "the other part of Macedon, that part where my dwelling standeth." To son Thomas, "Land called Turkey Range, 54 acres." To son Alexander, "Land called Hills and Dales, 47 acres." To son James, "Negro girl called Phillis." Executrix: "My loving wife, Elizabeth" who was still living in 1769.

One source unknown says married 17 Jan. 1758 St. Johns Parrish Baltimore co. Md. Mary Blond.

Another is to be in the Kansas DAR Library at dodge city, Ks.

"He enlisted as a member of the Harford co. Militia in 1776 in same company as his brother, Thomas. They both signed the oath of allegiance in 1778 & appear on Return of Mardacai Amos (MSS rec. Harford co., Md.). Resided Harford co., Md."
