Described in a deed of 1731, he was reported as having the 6th seat in the Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. His occupation was called "Yeoman". He served in Western/ Warren as Selectman and was a founding member of the Congregational Church in Western in 1791. His tombstone says"He was a man of a Public Spirit excellence in his Morals and a Supporter of the Church and a Friend to mankind."
