Born by about 1608, based on estimated date of marriage. A weaver who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1632. First settled in Boston; moved to Newbury by 1639. Returned to England permanently after 28 March 1648. Died in Lawford, Essex, between 9 September 1653 (date of will) and 25 March 1654 (probate of will). On 11 June 1633 the Massachusetts Bay court ordered that "John Pemberton shall be whipped, bound to his good behavior, & enjoined to make his appearance at the next Court, for committing fornication with Eliz: Marson," and they were presumably married about the same time. She died at Newbury 22 February 1645[/6?]. CHILDREN: None recorded.
