John (April 18, 1717 O.S. [April 29, 1717 N.S.] – March 4, 1743/4 O.S. [March 15, 1744 N.S.) married Rachel Reynolds on December 21, 1737 O.S. [January 1, 1738 N.S.] at West Nottingham Meeting.

Rachel married second Thomas Churchman on June 5, 1745 O.S. [June 16, 1745 N.S.] at West Nottingham Meeting.

John and Rachel had one son:

1. Henry (b. September 13, 1738 O.S. [September 24, 1738 N.S.]) married Hannah Pife (b. October 25, 1742 O.S. [November 5, 1742 N.S.] Newlin, Pennsylvania) on April 10, 1760. Hannah was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Pyle. The New Garden Monthly Meeting records also has Henry marrying Hannah Pyle, daughter of Moses of East Marlborough, on April 14, 1761.[6] Henry had died before the wedding of his son Moses.

Henry and Hannah had four children:

1. Rachel (b. March 27, 1761 East Nottingham, Cecil County, Maryland)

3. Moses (b. February 18, 1765 Newark) married Hannah Steer on October 10, 1793 at Hopewell Meeting, Frederick County, Virginia. Her parents were James and Abigail Steer.[7]

4. Susannah (b. January 31, 1770)

From Bill Putnam's information on John Piggott:

John Piggott: John was born April 18th, 1717. He married Rachel Reynolds on December 25, 1737 in Nottingham. I think he then went to Loudon County Virginia and attended the Goose Creek Meeting. He died on March 4, 1743/4. His family remained in the Loudon County area for a period.

There was another John Piggott who married Phoebe Beeson Harris in Loudon County on June 28, 1742. I don't know who this John was.
