In 1319 John Prentice was tried for plotting to kill Richard DE FOXON, the King’s clerk, by Bury St Edmunds Abbey Consistory Court (result unknown, but probably not guilty since his son Robert was allowed to have 35 acres owned by the Abbey in Palgrave).
