Transcription of Will: In the name of the Benevolent Father of all: I, John H. Price of the County of Belmont and State of Ohio being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament. I give bequeath and dispose of my property, Real and personal in the manner following viz: Item 1st. I give and devise to my wife Susanna Price, all the household goods and chattels that she brought or that belonged to her in her own right at the time of our marriage and one years provisions from the date of my decease also fifty dollars in money also the dividends arising from my railroad stock owned and held by me in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Co. Central Ohio Division,, during her natural life, also one milch cow, Item 2d, I give and devise to my daughter Ruth Ann, all my household and kitchen furniture, one milch cow, seven hundred and fifty dollars in money and one years provision from the date of my decease and in the event that Ruth Ann should survive Susanna Price, she is then to receive the dividends of said Railroad stock. Item 3d, I further desire my wife Susanna and my daughter Ruth Ann, to have the use rents, issues and proceeds of the farm in Goshen Twp that I now reside on, each one to share equal in said rents and proceeds in the event of the decease of either, the survivor to inherit the entire proceeds of said farm during her natural life. Item 4th, I give and devise to my son Uriah Price my land in Brown County in the State of Indiana. Item 5th, I hereby cancel two notes of hand held by me against the estate of my son George J. Price deceased. Item 6th, All the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal I desire to be sold and after paying my just debts and funeral expenses, to be distributed to my Grandchildren in the manner following viz: to the heirs of Elizabeth Boyd one fifth; to the heirs of Uriah Price three tenths; to the heirs George J. Price four tenths and to the heirs of Mary Ann Grigg one tenth. Item 7th, At the decease of the survivor, Susanna or Ruth Ann Price, I desire the farm on which I now reside, and which was left for their use and benefit to be sold and also my Railroad stock and the proceeds arising from the sale of said farm and railroad stock to be distributed to my grandchildren before mentioned in the ratio above described.
