John Rice, born 29 Sep 1675, married Elizabeth Clapp of Milton (MA) at Sudbury (MA) and resided at Sudbury, where she died 4 Dec 1705. His 2nd wife was Sarah Frost, daughter of Thomas and Mary Goodridge Frost. She died 9 Dec 1717. His 3rd wife was Sarah Dunton of Sudbury, whom he married at Weston (MA), 11 Nov 1731.

He represented Sudbury in General Court 1715, and died 28 July 1733. His widow, Sarah, died 16 Jan 1738/9.

Children:

Comfort, born 10 Aug 1701, married James Moore, 4 Mar

            1718, and settled at Worcester, where she died

22 Jun 1765. Her husband, Capt. James Moore,
died 29 Sep 1756, aged 63.
